Pricing structure

Our pricing options are designed to help you plan ahead, reduce surprises, and encourage clarity with open communication. This approach allows us to work thoughtfully and strategically together and adapt as needed.

Working with Moromi

We offer two primary pricing structures:

  1. Ongoing service contracts – for those who need continuous support, strategic guidance, and long-term collaboration as they grow.
  2. Fixed rate project contracts – for well-defined projects with clear deliverables, pricing, and timelines.

Our most popular pricing structure is our ongoing service contract where we provide our services at an hourly rate along with optional price incentives, such as retainer rates. We also offer a fixed rate for projects upon request.

Ongoing Services

Over the years, we’ve found a pricing structure that suits the work we do and the kinds of relationships we build. 

  • Monthly billing – Invoices are sent at the beginning of each month for the prior month.
  • Hourly rates – Services are billed hourly and subject to our billing terms. We provide our hourly rates to new clients for their reference.

Technology is constantly evolving, and websites need regular updates and maintenance to stay effective. Many of the businesses and organizations we work with also require ongoing design work and other services over time. Having a reliable partnership makes managing these needs more predictable and enjoyable.

As your needs shift, this service structure allows us to take an adaptive approach, giving us the opportunity to get to know your business and become familiar with your systems. This understanding enables us to provide well-informed support that aligns with your goals and challenges as they evolve.

Establishing an optional retainer account

As an extension of our service contracts, we also offer discounted rates to those who open a retainer account with us. Retainers are intended to cover services for at least a two-month period*, helping us manage payments more efficiently while ensuring steady support for your needs.

*Please note: we are in the process of shifting to a structured model for retainer amounts and discounts. This is how our retainer accounts currently work:

  • Opening and ongoing amount – We will advise a retainer amount based on the anticipated volume of work.
  • Minimum requirement – Generally, we require a minimum of $1,000 (or an equivalent amount based on currency) for our retainer rates to apply.
  • Discounted rates – Retainer clients benefit from approximately 10-15% off our standard service contract rates.

Fixed Rate Projects

We can offer fixed rates for specific projects upon request. To create an accurate bid for your project here is an example of the kind of information we’ll need. 

  • Point of contact – The person responsible for approvals and communication during the project.
  • Business or organization – Context about the goals of your business and the work being done.
  • Purpose – Why this project is important to your business and what it will achieve upon completion.
  • Project scope – A clear and detailed description of the work you need completed.
  • Deliverables – A list of specific outcomes or assets to be included.
  • Timeline – Any deadlines or time constraints affecting the project schedule.
  • Budget – If applicable, an estimated budget range to guide our response.
  • Existing materials – Any documents (or links to) branding assets or previous work that will be used in the project.
  • Special requirements – Any specific tools, integrations, or custom elements required.

We can work with you as needed and provide you with a list of questions to support the process of creating a complete project scope. 

Billing terms

Our pricing is structured to be clear, fair, and aligned with the nature of our work. Here are the key terms:

  • Hourly services
    • Billing increments – We bill in 15-minute increments.
    • Hour minimum – We bill for a minimum of one hour for Project Work, which does not apply to communications such as emails and scheduling.
  • Payment terms – Payments are due within Net 15 terms unless different terms are arranged.
  • Late payments – Overdue invoices may be subject to a late fee (details provided in our contract).
  • Emergency work – At our discretion, expedited work may be subject to a rush fee, particularly if it requires immediate attention or adjustments to our schedule.
  • Reimbursement for materials – Any third-party tools, software, or purchases required to complete a project will be passed on to you with your approval prior to purchase.

Scholarships, apprenticeships, and communal stakeholders

Starting in 2025, we are building a fund using a percentage of our annual net profit. This fund allows us to create opportunities for unlikely, beautiful, and important things to become imaginable and real.
